Holiness - Check out Romans 6:19

As Christians, we have an obligation to offer (“yield”) our bodies unto God, so that He can help us live holy and righteous! Too many are “yielding” their bodies unto sin and impurity! Don’t be that person! Paul addressed this in Romans 6:19. Read it!

Romans 6:19, “I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.” ESV

A slave does nothing of his own accord. His very existence is tied to serving and pleasing his master. As Christians, we are supposed to yield our flesh, will, desires, and emotions to the authority of Christ. Unfortunately, it is not the path of least resistance. Because of the sin nature it is easier to follow the whims and desires of our own selfish ways, the consequences of which are always pain and heartache. While God never promises our lives will be easy as we fully submit to His ways, He does promise to be with us.
